Synergy with Hardware Sentry KM for PATROL

To benefit from a complete monitoring of your Hitachi environment, Hitachi Disk Arrays KM for PATROL should be used in conjunction with Hardware Sentry KM for PATROL.

•	Hardware Sentry KM for PATROL discovers all the physical components, that is: controllers, disks, power supplies, fans, network and fiber ports, and reports hardware failures on these components. Additionally, it monitors the traffic on each network and fiber port.

Hitachi Disk Arrays KM for PATROL monitors all of the performance metrics and usage statistics of your Hitachi environment, such as file disk space usage, storage controller utilization, I/Os on the disks/controllers/volumes, etc. It continuously monitors the activity of each disk array and is also able to build reports on past utilization statistics.
