Configuring After Installation

You configure monitoring of BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management - IBM DS3000 DS4000 DS5000 Series Storage Monitoring when you create a policy. A policy is a template containing the configuration of a PATROL Agent. A policy can be assigned to one or more PATROL Agents using a unique tag (Central Monitoring Administration tag), and a PATROL Agent can be assigned one or more policies with different priorities.

If you have not already added the Central Monitoring Administration tag to your PATROL Agents during the solution installation, then you must manually assign the tag after you have configured the policy. For details, see Adding Central Monitoring Administration Tags.
