Managing Internal KM Issues Notifications

This notification feature enables IBM DS6000, DS8000 Series KM for PATROL to notify you of any internal problems that may occur or of any special operations it may perform. The objective of this notification is to help resolve an issue (if any), other than hardware problems – which are reported through the regular system of warnings and alerts. This feature is useful to find out more about any anomalies that may occur.

By right clicking on the KM icon > KM Commands > KM Settings > Additional Settings > Internal KM Issues Notifications, you can set the kind of messages you would like to be notified about:

•All internal messages

•Only internal problems

•No internal message

Internal KM Issues Notification

By default, all internal messages are sent to the System Output Window and are also registered as PATROL events (event ID "SentryI68Internal" of the SEN_I68_MAIN event catalog).

Internal errors are registered as events type "ERROR" (they appear in orange in PATROL Event Manager).
Internal warnings are registered as "WARNING"
Informational messages are registered as "INFORMATION".
