At times, although rare, IBM XiV KM is unable to detect the status of a monitored device, and it returns the poll with "Unknown Status". If this occurs, you can configure IBM XiV KM to perform certain actions:
To access this feature, right-click the KM icon > KM Commands > KM Settings > Additional Settings > Unknown Status Management: Unknown Status Management In addition to the selected actions, if you select the option to Trigger an Internal KM Issue Notification, an error message is displayed in the System Output Window of the PATROL console.
