Storage Pools are logical storage entities from which volumes are created. Storage Pools can be of two types:
| • | RAID Group: Physical array of disks grouped in a RAID configuration |
| • | Thin Pool: Thin Provisioning Pool, same as a RAID Group with additional thin provisioning capabilities |
The following operations allow administrators to automate the management of Storage Pool (RAID Group or Thin Pool) in the EMC disk arrays through EMC SMI-S Provider.
The supported operations for Storage Pools are:
| • | get-raid-level, to list the available RAID Levels that can be configured for a new storage pool |
