The BEX_ALERT application detects alerts generated by the Backup Exec server. The BEX_ALERT icon appears in the main Backup Exec instance window in the PATROL Console. Instances will be created for alerts issued by the Backup Exec server - if there are no current alerts the BEX_ALERT application instance will not be created.
