Discovering and collecting logical drives metrics are resource-intensive actions that can create extra workload on the PATROL Agent and the targeted system. To limit the number of instances created and therefore reduce the system resource consumption, administrators can disable the monitoring of all the logical drives of a system.
To disable logical drives monitoring
|1.||Edit the policy that applies to the PATROL Agent monitoring the volumes you need to exclude or keep in the monitoring process.|
|2.||Click the Monitor Configuration tab.|
|3.||Click the Advanced button.|
Disabling the monitoring of logical drives
|4.||Check the Disable Logical Drives Monitoring box if you want to limit the number of Logical Drive instances created and therefore reduce the system resource consumption. Discovery and collect requests and operations will no longer be performed.|
|5.||Click Close to save your settings.|
