Adding a Connection to an IBM XiV Storage Manager

To add a connection to an Enterprise Manager:

1.Right-click the IBM XiV KM Icon > KM Commands > Add a Connection to an IBM XiV Storage Manager...
2.Define the provider information:
▪Enter the storage system host name
▪Enter the IP address or the fully qualified name.

3.Click Next
4.Enter the credentials that the KM will use to access the IBM XiV storage system via the WBEM protocol:
▪Enter the Port number that will be used for the connection to the enterprise manager. By default, 5989.
▪Enter the Username and Password that will be used for the WBEM connection.

noteWhen the login and password are left blank the default PATROL credentials will automatically be used for the connection.

5.Click Finish to save your settings.
