Adding a Connection to an IBM DS Storage Manager

Adding the monitoring of an IBM storage element in your monitored environment requires the creation and the setting-up of a connection to an IBM DS Storage Manager:

1.Right-click the KM main icon > KM Commands > Add a Connection to an IBM DS Storage Manager

2.Enter the Server Host Name and the Server IP address (leave blank to user the Server Host Name address)

3.Click Next to continue

4.Set connection parameters and enter WBEM Credentials:

•Enter the port number through which the connection must be established

•Click the Encrypt data using the HTTPS protocol, if necessary (The port typically used to encrypt data for WBEM queries is 5989)

•Enter a valid username and password for the CIM server

5.Click Finish to create a new connection to an IBM Storage Manager.
