Prerequisites

Integrated as a native module for BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management, IBM DS6000, DS8000 Series KM for PATROL is designed to monitor the health and performance of your IBM storage environment.

Prior to install IBM DS6000, DS8000 Series KM for PATROL, make sure that the following elements are installed and properly configured:

•PATROL Agent, version 3.8 or higher (see BMC PATROL documentation)

•PATROL Console (see BMC PATROL documentation)

•IBM Storage Manager

•Java 1.5 or higher.

Finally, make sure that IBM DS6000, DS8000 Series KM for PATROL is installed on a server that has access to the IBM Storage Manager.
