Status Mapping Rules

The status of a component is determined by the State parameter and by the status mapping rule. This mapping rule indicates which states will trigger a warning or an alarm on the Status parameter. The default mapping rules are listed in the tables below. Refer to Configuring Alerts Rules to know how to change these default settings.

Clients Status

The following HPOClientState to HPOClientStatus mapping rule is used by default:

HPOClientState		HPOClientStatus
Not Running		Failure
Unknown		Suspicious
all other states		OK

Daemons Status

The following HPODaemonState to HPODaemonStatus mapping rule is used by default:

HPODaemonState		HPODaemonStatus
Nonexistent/Not Responding		Failure
Not Running		Failure
Terminated, Stopped, Disabled		Suspicious
Growing, or Unknown		Suspicious
all other states		OK

On Windows systems, the "Unknown" status reported in "tasklist.exe" is considered "Sleeping".

Libraries Status

The following HPOLibraryState to HPOLibraryStatus mapping rule is used by default:

HPOLibraryState		HPOLibraryStatus
Invalid		Failure
Unknown		Suspicious
all other states		OK

Library Devices Status

The following HPOLDeviceState to HPOLDeviceStatus mapping rule is used by default:

Missing		Failure
Disabled		Suspicious
Unknown		Suspicious
all other states		OK

Mount Requests Status

The following HPORequestState to HPORequestStatus mapping rule is used by default:

Pending for more than 30 minutes		Failure
Pending or Unknown		Suspicious
all other states		OK

Session Status

The following HPOSessionState to HPOSessionStatus mapping rule is used by default:

Mount/Failures or In Progress/Failures		Failure
Completed/Failures, Aborted or Failured		Failure
Mount/Errors or In Progress/Errors		Suspicious
Completed/Errors or Unknown		Suspicious
Queuing for more than 60 minutes		Suspicious
Mount Request for more than 60 minutes		Suspicious
In Progress for more than 300 minutes		Suspicious
all other states		OK

Specifications Status

The following HPOSpecState to HPOSpecStatus mapping rule is used by default:

Running in Restricted Window		Failure
Running for more than 600 minutes		Suspicious
Unknown		Suspicious
all other states		OK

Standalone Devices Status

The following HPODeviceState to HPODeviceStatus mapping rule is used by default:
